这是Dido写给她已经谈婚论嫁却又分手的未婚夫的，歌中充满了对恋人的不舍和抱歉。

令人困惑的是这句：I will go down with this ship（我愿与船同沉）。可能Dido认为在整个事情的进程中，她处于主导地位（船长），现在船沉了，作为船长应该与船同在。
